                     I. Introduction

      Beam can be made up from steel, Concrete, or  Timber. There is steel beam, Reinforced concrete beam, Timber beam that work in different sections.

     First Designers need to consider about loads  and Load combination that  act  on beam like :

         For rectangular section, its section should stay From (length/15) to (length/10). After selected the section  then you must check whether moment, shear, and deflection satisfy with that section or not;

          For moment, fi-Mn>Mu

          For shear,   fi-Vn> Vu

          For deflection, delta max. > delta.(dead load+Live load).
